I moved here in New York in July, the night in between June 30th and July 1st. I was excited, curious and a little frightened -who isn't? I had left everything I had, every certainty, my friends, my family, my job, even my language, everything. I was not alone, because I had my hubs with me (God bless this Saint! lol), but still, it is a lot of a big deal when you move from the other side of the Ocean, even for a Girl from the Island who know the sea pretty well. And, I have to say, I feel blessed for this constant feeling of being welcomed, this feeling that I can make it. I realized I had never understood, deeply understood, what it means "If I can make it here I can make it everywhere", I though it was about how tough the City can be. But it is not about it. It is about the feeling that if you make it here, you are on top of the world, and then the world is your oyster, like forever. And I have been blessed with friendship, trust, opportunities. With the feeling that what's in my head matters.

In just months I've found myself doing things I though I was not "enough" (stick your favorite word here) to do. And, on top of that, some people here made it this place my home, and keep making it my home every single day. Don't get me wrong, the road is long and hard, but thing is, there is a path, and I feel blessed for that.

So, today, I want to thank these people, and the life they're helping me to build.
